ArmInfo.The last year has seen a 3.5% decline in the living standard of the average statistical employee, Armenian Center for Socio-Economic Studies (ACSES) reports on its Facebook page.
The analysis of living standards of middle-income employees shows that the annual nominal wage was 2.8mln in 2022, a 16% rise as compared with 2021.
The annual cost of the minimum consumer basket was AMD 830,000 - a 20% increase as compared with 2021.
In 2021, an employee receiving average monthly wages was capable of providing for minimum consumer needs of 3.53 adults, whereas last year this index was 3.41.
"In this respect, other conditions being equal, the living standards of the average statistical employee declined by about 3.5%," the analysis reads.
