ArmInfo.An interdepartmental working group is being created in Armenia to discuss issues related to the construction of a new nuclear power unit. The corresponding decision was signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the justification for the decision specifically notes: "In order to discuss issues related to the construction of a new nuclear power unit, the deployment of small modular reactors in the Republic of Armenia, as well as to conduct analyzes to select the necessary technologies and determine the sequence of further steps , establish an interdepartmental working group and approve its composition in accordance with the annex". The head of the interdepartmental working group should submit information on the work performed to the office of the Prime Minister of Armenia within 2 months.
