ArmInfo. Armenia and Iran intend to intensify cooperation in the tax and customs areas. This was discussed at the meeting of head of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia Rustam Badasyan with the Ambassador of Iran Mehdi Sobhani.
"While welcoming the newly appointed ambassador on his assumption of office, I stressed the need to develop Armenian-Iranian bilateral relations, especially between the customs and tax authorities of the two countries," Badasyan wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, the Iranian diplomat emphasized the contribution of the effective work of the customs service in the context of increasing trade between two countries.
"We touched upon the issues of tolls, international transportation of goods using TIR carnets, as well as the need for electronic data exchange and work carried out in this direction. Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to achieve positive results in all possible areas," the head of the State Revenue Committee noted.
