South Caucasus Railway reports growing popularity of railroad  passenger traffic

ArmInfo. In January-October 2023, the South Caucasus Railway (SCR) company transported 421.5  thousand passengers, which is 7.1% more than in 2022.

According to the source, almost 398 thousand passengers were  transported in suburban traffic, which is 7.7% more than last year's  figure, and in international traffic (Yerevan-Tbilisi-Yerevan and  Yerevan- Batumi-Yerevan) 53.5 thousand passengers were transported  with an increase compared to last year by 3%.

During the reporting period, SCR, along with the opportunity to  purchase tickets online for international transport and high-speed  commuter services, provided the opportunity to purchase online  tickets for all suburban electric trains. In addition, a luggage  storage service was introduced at the Yerevan Sasuntsi David station,  which has not been available since Soviet times.
