ArmInfo. Armenia intends to join the e-CMR protocol, which reduces cargo clearance costs, eliminates administrative delays and delays in invoicing, and also reduces the number of discrepancies at destinations and improves transparency and security at all stages of logistics chains.
On April 18, the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia at a meeting approved the draft Law of the Republic of Armenia on the contract for the international carriage of goods by road, regarding the electronic consignment note (e CMR).
As stated in the explanation to the document, on June 9, 2006, the Republic of Armenia acceded to the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR, CMR). In 2008, the above-mentioned convention was supplemented by the additional e-CMR protocol, which provides the possibility of electronic management of the freight bill of lading.
