Armenia to join e-CMR protocol

ArmInfo. Armenia intends to join the e-CMR protocol, which reduces cargo clearance costs, eliminates  administrative delays and delays in invoicing, and also reduces the number of discrepancies at destinations and improves transparency and security at all stages of logistics chains.

On April 18, the Cabinet  of Ministers of Armenia at a meeting approved the draft Law of the  Republic of Armenia on the contract for the international carriage of  goods by road, regarding the electronic consignment note (e CMR).

As stated in the explanation to the document, on June 9, 2006, the  Republic of Armenia acceded to the Convention on the Contract for the  International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR, CMR). In 2008, the  above-mentioned convention was supplemented by the additional e-CMR  protocol, which provides the possibility of electronic management of  the freight bill of lading.
