ArmInfo. As of July 2024, the highest wages in Armenia were recorded in the information and communication sector. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, as of the reporting date, the average salary of specialists in this sector was 824.1,000 drams, which is 0.2% higher than the previous year's figure.
The TOP-3 also includes the mining and open-pit mining sector, where wages were registered at 799.9,000 drams, and the financial and insurance sector with a salary of 683.1,000 drams. On average, specialists employed in the fields of public administration, defense, compulsory social security, as well as culture, entertainment and recreation receive over 300,000 drams in Armenia. Workers in the manufacturing industry, supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, construction, wholesale and retail trade, automobile trade, transportation and warehousing, professional, scientific and technical activities, healthcare and social services to citizens receive over 200,000 drams. The lowest salaries (over 100,000 drams) are found in the fields of water supply, sewerage, waste treatment and secondary raw materials, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, accommodation, catering, real estate transactions, administrative and auxiliary activities, and education. Moreover, wage growth was observed in all sectors except for the mining industry and open pit mines (a 15% decline over the year), and public administration, defense and compulsory social security (a 1% decline annually).
