ArmInfo. The Armenian government proposes to establish liability standards in the event of export of sensitive products included in the list established by the Cabinet of Ministers from the territory of the Republic of Armenia to the EAEU member states without appropriate permits.
As Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan stated, presenting the proposed additions and amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses at the NA meeting, the problem is that there is a transit declaration system for land transportation within the EAEU countries, and a declaration procedure is in effect for export to third countries. Meanwhile, there is no declaration procedure or liability measures for air transportation.
In this regard, it is proposed to introduce liability in the amount of 50% of the value of exported sensitive goods, but not more than 500 thousand drams.
As Manukyan explained, we are talking about products included by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the list of products sensitive from the point of view of the national security of the Republic of Armenia, which may become dual-use or military goods as a result of a certain transformation.
It has also been established that the permit system for dual-use goods also applies to this type of goods. Let us recall that back in May 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Armenia made a decision to establish a list of (sensitive) goods that, with a certain transformation, can be used in the creation of weapons and military equipment.
