ArmInfo. Armenian startups will present their potential as part of the largest technology exhibition in Armenia, DigiTec. As stated in the message of the organizers of the exhibition, from October 4 to 6, a special platform, Startup Alley, will be created for startups within DigiTec, where the latter will have the opportunity to present their developments to more than 100 investors.
This year, DigiTec EXPO 2024 will be distinguished by its content. In addition to a separate platform for startups, the exhibition will include the following areas: TecSquare - for establishing new working connections and cooperation; DigiTalks - where information on the latest technological trends will be presented; DigiInvest - for participation in discussions on fintech; TecBalcony - for business VIP meetings.
According to the source, over 200 companies and startups are expected to participate, over 150 speakers will speak, and more than 15 international media will arrive. The number of participants in the exhibition may exceed 30 thousand people.
The organizer of DigiTec since 2005 is the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE). The exhibition will be held from October 4 to 6 at the Meridian Expo Center.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, the revenue of the ICT sector in Armenia increased by 10.4% in the first half of the year, amounting to 440.8 billion drams. At the same time, the services provided in the IT sector alone decreased by 14.1% over the year to 186.8 billion drams. The production segment in ICT also showed a decline - by 49.2% to 357.6 million drams. While trade in this sector increased by 1.6 times, reaching 174.4 billion drams.
