ArmInfo. As a result of the policy implemented by the Armenian government, there is a negative balance between created and reduced jobs in the country. This was stated on November 12 at the hearings in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia by Artur Khachatryan, a member of the National Assembly from the opposition faction "Armenia".
In particular, he cited official data, according to which 15,700 new jobs were created in Armenia in the second quarter of this year, and 16,900 were reduced. At the same time, 12,300 jobs were created in the private sector, and 12,700 were reduced. "You are talking about new jobs created, but we see that, at least based on the example of the second quarter, they are being reduced," the deputy said, addressing Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan.
Presenting the draft state budget, the minister spoke about the importance of turning back the wheel of history related to emigration. In this regard, Khachatryan noted that there is a negative balance of 20,366 people here too. In response, the minister called for not being guided by quarterly indicators, which, according to him, is wrong, since in the first quarter, as a rule, the number of jobs decreases, after which it increases. He emphasized that the situation with jobs should be assessed on an annual basis.
