ArmInfo.Almost all organizational issues, except for personnel, have been resolved in the "Construction of a new nuclear power unit" company created by the decision of the RA government. This was stated by Gnel Sanosyan, the RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, during the government hour in the National Assembly on November 13.
According to him, the company's management has not yet been approved, nor has the work on staffing been carried out. The minister noted that all processes for implementing the government's decision are currently in progress through the joint efforts of the Ministry, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and specialists in the field. In particular, there is a need to redistribute financial resources, with the first allocations expected to be made in early 2025.
The state budget for next year has already allocated 800 million drams for the implementation of the program. "Thus, the preparatory work is in its final stage," the minister said, but found it difficult to say whether the company is registered in the state register. Due to its narrow specialization, efforts are being made to attract highly qualified specialists to work in the company, which explains the lack of haste. Recall that on August 1, the country's government decided to establish a new company called the Construction of a New Nuclear Power Unit, which will be responsible for managing the project to build a new nuclear power unit. The new company will comply with the standards set by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
