Even at embryonic stage, powerful impetus given to economic activity  in energy sector - ENA acting manager

ArmInfo.  Who said that this process would harm the development of the investment environment?, asks the acting manager of Elsetey Armenia Romanos Petrosyan on the social network and himself "records" that "even at the embryonic stage" "a powerful impetus has been given to economic activity in the sector."

Thus, in his post entitled "A Pure Statement," Romanos Petrosyan  recalls that a few days ago, ESA CJSC announced the start of the  pre-tender stage, which is necessary for the proper implementation of  two procurement processes (project services and cable) in order to  conduct a market study and ensure the most inclusive competitive  activity.

At the moment, he noted, 14 companies have already submitted  applications to participate in the tender for the procurement of  project services, 12 companies - to participate in the tender for the  cable procurement procedure. There are almost 2 days left before the  deadline for submitting applications.

"I ask all interested economic entities to contact the relevant ESA  department in the prescribed manner to participate in the planned  large-scale purchases and supplies and cooperate on objective  competitive conditions.

P.S. The fact is that in recent years only 2-3 companies have  participated in these ESA processes, which is due to very "special  and privileged" circumstances.

P.S. 1. Who said that this process would harm the development of the  investment environment? The fact is that even at the embryonic stage  it undoubtedly gave a powerful impetus to economic activity in the  sector>, - summarizes the temporary manager of Electric Networks of  Armenia CJSC.

Since 2016, Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC has belonged to the  Tashir Group of Companies, founded by Russian-Armenian businessman  Samvel Karapetyan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced his  intention to nationalize ESA after Samvel Karapetyan expressed public  support for the AAC. Then the Armenian parliament adopted a package  of legislative amendments aimed at nationalizing the ESA company  owned by Tashir Group, and on July 18, by the decision of the head of  the Public Services Regulatory Commission, Romanos Petrosyan was  appointed as the temporary manager of Elseti within the framework of  administrative proceedings and the application of preventive measures  against ESA.

On August 1, the temporary manager of ESA CJSC Romanos Petrosyan  announced the procurement process within the framework of an  investment program worth approximately $125 million.

P.S. Let me remind you that until now, work of this scale was carried  out only by ONE organization, which occupied a monopoly position,  dictating its terms and prices," Petrosyan wrote.

On July 24, at a briefing in the government, the head of the Public  Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia Mesrop Mesropyan  stated that the approved investment program is calculated until 2034  and is subject to mandatory implementation.

According to him, the Karapetyan family is obliged to continue  implementing the investment program in the Elseti company, despite  the appointment of an interim manager.
