
ArmInfo. A train carrying Kazakh grain has departed Azerbaijan for Armenia. According to Azerbaijani media, the train has already departed from Bilajari station.
The freight train will continue along the Bilajari-Hajigabul-Buyuk-Kyasik route, from where the cargo will be delivered to Georgia, and from there to Dalarik station in Armenia. Earlier, a 15-car freight train arrived at Bilajari railway station. It contains 1,048.8 tons of wheat.
"Yesterday, 15 railcars carrying 1,048.8 tons of grain were sent from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan. The cargo is being delivered to Georgia, and from there to Armenia," Bakhtiyar Hajiyev, head of the public relations department of Azerbaijan Railways, told reporters.
He also announced the start of transporting Kazakh grain to Armenia via Azerbaijan. On November 5, 15 railcars carrying approximately 1,000 tons of grain from Kazakhstan arrived in Azerbaijan. "Further cargo shipments from Russia and Kazakhstan to Armenia are expected to be carried out via Azerbaijan," Hajiyev said.
It's worth noting that a train carrying Russian grain has already arrived in Armenia, having passed through Azerbaijan and Georgia.
