Yerevan hosts `GIS - for digital information` conference 

ArmInfo.  The conference "GIS (geographical information system) for digital transformation" was held in Yerevan, providing an effective platform for discussing  industry challenges, priorities, and possible solutions.

The conference featured presentations on "Experiences in Using GIS in  Urban Transformation," "Digital Transformation of GIS at COAF: How a  Non-Profit Organization Applying GIS Technologies in Digital  Development and Educational Programs," and other topics.

Participants discussed how geographic information systems are  stimulating digital transformation in various economic sectors,  presented the latest applications of GIS technology, and proposed new  formats for collaboration.

The conference brought together specialists from government and  international organizations, business, science, education, and  industry who utilize the capabilities of spatial data and technology  in their work.

Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Gevorg Mantashyan participated  in the event. He noted that such events are a unique opportunity for  the professional community, especially young people, to exchange  ideas and experiences. According to Mantashyan, the ministry attaches  great importance to efforts aimed at developing information systems  that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
