ArmInfo.During a meeting with Serbian Ambassador to the Republic Tatjana Cvetkovic, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan praised the effective cooperation and strong friendly relations  established between Armenia and Serbia, emphasizing that the development of bilateral ties remains a key priority for the Armenian authorities.

ArmInfo.  According to preliminary data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the industrial price index increased from 102.2% to 109% in January-February 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. This  improvement was seen alongside a positive shift in the annual  dynamics of the industrial sector-from a 19.4% decline to a  double-digit 17.2% growth, reaching 491.5 billion drams ($1.3  billion).  

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity growth accelerated to 7.4% annually in January-February 2026 (from 4.1% in the same period of 2025). Moreover, the industrial sector once again became one of the growth drivers, compared to a double-digit decline the year before.  According to preliminary data  from the RA Statistics Committee, this was accompanied by an  improvement in foreign trade, with a significant decline returning to  moderate growth.

ArmInfo. Although Iran is of little importance to Armenia in terms of transit, it nonetheless plays a significant role in the import of certain goods. For example, in 2025, approximately $50 million worth of Chinese cars were  imported to Armenia through Iran, according to Haykaz Fanyan, head of  the ACSES analytical center.

ArmInfo. Mistral AI, a French and European leader in artificial intelligence, has partnered with the Armenian government to strengthen the country's digital infrastructure and services. French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier  Decottignies announced this on Twitter (X). He did not provide any  further details.

ArmInfo.The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Armenian Intellectual Property Office at the  Ministry of Economy signed a memorandum of understanding. This was reported by the Ministry's  press service, citing the results of a meeting in Alicante attended by representatives of  the EU4IP program beneficiary countries, which implemented by the EUIPO.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia is discussing a draft interim trade agreement between the EAEU and Mongolia, submitted by the Armenian government, at its plenary  session on March 24.

ArmInfo. The Government Commission on Legislative Activity has approved amendments aimed at combating the understatement of VAT on imports to Russia from the EAEU, a source told RIA Novosti.

ArmInfo.The 22nd international specialized exhibition "CAUCASUS: CONSTRUCTION AND  RENOVATION EXPO 2026" was held in Yerevan, bringing together over 70 organizations from Armenia, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Estonia, and Iran.  Among the exhibitors was the Russian company Promyshlennik  (founded in 2008), which initially specialized in wholesale supplies of construction equipment before launching its own production facility for monolithic work.

ArmInfo.By the end of February 2026, Armenia's public debt had increased by $229 million compared to the end of December 2025, rising from $13.906 billion (381.4 per $) to $14.135 billion (377 per $). However, as of December 31, 2025, Armenia's public debt, according to the Ministry of Finance's final data for 2025, had already reached $14.531 billion (an increase of approximately $1.7 billion, or 13.1% - ed.).

ArmInfo. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide a EUR39 million loan to Armenia for the construction of the Yerevan Customs and Logistics Center. At its March 23 meeting, the Committee on Financial, Credit, and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia approved the draft agreement submitted by the Armenian government for ratification.

ArmInfo. The reduction in Armenia's state budget deficit to GDP ratio from 5.5% to 3.7% recorded in 2025 is a remarkable achievement. This was stated by RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan on March 23 at a meeting of the RA National Assembly Committee on Financial, Credit, and Budgetary  Affairs while presenting a report on the ministry's work in 2025  under the 2021-2025 government program.
