ArmInfo. A delegation from the Armenian Ministry of Finance, led by Arshaluys Harutyunyan, Head of the Macroeconomic Policy Department, met with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

ArmInfo.Citizens in Armenia can now authorize a third party to fill out and submit their income tax declarations, according to the press service of the State  Revenue Committee (SRC).

ArmInfo.Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Chair of the Water Committee of Armenia, along with committee staff and partners from the Ministry of Environment, the  Yerevan Municipality, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), conducted  a study visit to Japan, where the Armenian delegation participated in  the "Armenian-Japanese Partnership for Sustainable Lake Management  and Sustainable Urban Development" experience exchange program.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, the industrial producer price index increased significantly in the first  half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, rising from 102.1%  to 108.9%. This was observed against the backdrop of improved annual  performance in the industrial sector, which rebounded from a 12.1%  contraction to a 10.8% growth rate, reaching AMD 1.5 trillion  ($4.1  billion). This is according to preliminary data from the RA  Statistics Committee. A similar upward trend in the industrial PPI  was recorded in June 2026 compared to June 2025, climbing from 102.5%  to 108.8%.  Over this period, industrial performance also shifted  into positive territory, registering a 4% growth rate compared to a  1.2% decline a year prior.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, economic activity growth accelerated to 7.9% annually in the first half of  2026 (from 6.3% in the same period of 2025). Moreover, the industrial  sector, having managed to reach double-digit growth from the decline,  has recovered as one of the drivers of economic growth. According to  preliminary data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, foreign trade is still in decline, but only slightly, in  contrast to the significant decline a year ago.

ArmInfo.  Azerbaijan is actively occupying the markets that Armenia is rapidly abandoning. Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), stated this  in his new address, delivered from the Kentron Penitentiary  Institution.

ArmInfo. The 10th Seaside Startup Summit Armenia 2026 kicked off on the shores of Lake Sevan on July 26, bringing together startups from around the world, investors,  representatives of venture capital funds and technology companies,  mentors, leading industry experts, and innovation ecosystem leaders.

ArmInfo. In the first half of 2026, Armenia's insurance sector increased tax payments to the state treasury by 2.8 times, reaching nearly 1.7 billion drams. This growth  is due to the inclusion of five insurance companies out of the seven  currently operating on the current list of Armenia's 1,000 largest  taxpayers, compared to only two (LIGA Insurance and INGO) a year ago. 

ArmInfo.   Armenia's four largest telecommunications operators contributed 22.2 billion drams to the state treasury in the first half of 2026, marking an 8.8%  year-on-year increase. According to data from the State Revenue  Committee of the Republic of Armenia, this total included 9.4 billion  drams in Value-Added Tax (VAT), 3.8 billion drams in personal income  tax, and 2.7 billion drams in corporate income tax.

ArmInfo.  Armenia's banking system increased its tax contributions to the state budget by 10.3% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, reaching 116.1 billion drams  (approximately $274 million). Direct taxes accounted for 92.1% of  this total, or 106.9 billion drams, representing a 9.2% annual  growth. According to data from the State Revenue Committee of the  Republic of Armenia, all 17 operating banks in the country made the  list of the top 1,000 corporate taxpayers, with 13 banks securing  spots in the top hundred (compared to 14 banks the previous year).

ArmInfo. The top five largest taxpayers in Armenia contributed 173.8 billion drams  (approximately $472.5 million) to the state budget during the first  half of 2026, marking a 23.4% year-on-year increase. According to  data released by the State Revenue Committee (SRC) from the roster of  the 1,000 largest taxpayers, this total comprised 3.8 billion drams  in customs duties (a 26.7% annual increase), 62.1 billion drams in  direct taxes (a 12.7% increase), and 70.3 billion drams in  value-added tax (VAT), reflecting a 12% growth.

ArmInfo.During the week of July 20–24, 2026, the Armenian foreign exchange interbank market experienced a  decline in dollar-denominated transactions, a  substantial surge in ruble-denominated deals, and a resumption of  euro transactions after a nearly five-month hiatus.

ArmInfo. Inspections at four Armenian enterprises have found no evidence of the use of milk from sick animals or raw materials imported from other countries.

ArmInfo.The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) office, is launching the "Mass Training" program for 1,300 participants in Yerevan and the regions.

ArmInfo. The Eurasian Development Bank has updated the "Observatory of Transport Projects of the Eurasian Transport Corridor (ETC)" — a digital platform that accumulates data on the development of transport corridors in 13 countries.

ArmInfo.When a country's economy relies for years on favorable external factors, re-exports, or the natural inertia of traditional foreign markets, while the management system strives for a "comfort zone," state budget revenues are generated not through increased productivity or the creation of new industries, but through inflationary revenues and tax collections from the current turnover of economic entities.

ArmInfo. At the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and the UN Resident  Coordinator's Office in Armenia, working discussions were held to  define strategic priorities and plan actions for the development of  Armenia's agriculture over the next three years.

ArmInfo.  Over the past six months, the state has spent a total of AMD 14.5 billion on  medication coverage within the framework of the universal health  insurance system, as stated by Samvel Kharazyan, Acting Director  General of the Universal Health Insurance Fund, during a July 22  press conference.
