ArmInfo.  The state-owned "Honest Sign" labeling system has suspended sales of a batch of Armenian mineral water "Jermuk" (Armenia) in offline and online  stores.  Revaz Yusupov, Deputy General Director of the Center for the  Development of Advanced Technologies (labeling operator), told RBC  that 338,000 bottles were in circulation and are now blocked pending  an inspection.

ArmInfo.  The main reason for the sharp rise in liquefied gas prices in Armenia is the events surrounding Iran. Economist Suren Parsyan told ArmInfo, commenting on the acute shortage of liquefied gas in Armenia, where at least half of the vehicle fleet actively uses this fuel.

ArmInfo.In Armenia, the industrial producer price index (PPI) rose to 109.2% in January–March 2026, compared to 102.1% during the same period in 2025.

ArmInfo.The "Big Four" telecom operators collectively contributed 9.7 billion AMD to the state budget, marking a robust 29.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Of this amount, 34.7 million drams were paid in  customs duties, 2.3 billion in direct taxes (including corporate income tax), and 4.3 billion in VAT,  according to data from the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia. 

ArmInfo.In the first quarter of 2026, Armenia's banking system increased tax payments to the state treasury by 3.2% annually, reaching 28.6 billion drams ($75.9 million). Notably, 84.8% of this total—approximately 24.3  billion AMD—was derived from direct taxes, marking a 2.1% increase from the previous year. 

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity growth accelerated to 7.1% annually in January-March 2026 (up from 4.1% in the same period of 2025), driven  by the construction and industrial sectors. According to preliminary  data from the RA Statistics Committee, there was also an improvement  in foreign trade dynamics, with a significant recession giving way to  moderate growth.

ArmInfo.  From April 20 to 23, 2026,  Armenia's interbank foreign exchange market  saw a continued rise in dollar transactions, while ruble transactions  continued to decline. Euro transactions haven't been conducted for  two consecutive months. Specifically, the growth of dollar  transactions slowed from a 5.1 fold increase to 54%, while the  decline in ruble transactions slowed from 19% to 8%.

ArmInfo. Every time we scale AI, we increase energy consumption and worsen environmental impacts. This was stated by Olena Bura, Managing Partner and CEO of the Swiss consulting company Enzentra GmbH (Switzerland), during a panel  session on the topic: "Application of modern digital solutions and  artificial intelligence technologies for environmental issues within  the framework of RES 2026."

ArmInfo.The AIFC Green Finance Center (Astana International Financial Centre) is considering expanding its operations  into the Armenian market, as stated by Manas Gijduaniev, CEO of the AIFC, during a briefing on April 23, in response to a question from an ArmInfo correspondent.

ArmInfo. Armenia plans to build a large-scale AI data center (AI factory) called Firebird, with the participation of NVIDIA, focused on artificial intelligence technologies. With an investment of $500 million, the factory will be  located in the city of Hrazdan, becoming one of the largest technological infrastructure sites in the region.
