ArmInfo.  The EU's share of Armenia's foreign trade increased to 17.8% in the first half of 2026  (from 12.1% a year ago), while the EAEU's share decreased to 29.4%  (from 36.3% a year ago). According to data from the RA Statistics  Committee, foreign trade turnover with the EU accelerated  year-on-year from 9.5% to 46.2%, reaching $1.7 billion, while with  the EAEU, it slowed from 53.7% to 19%, reaching $2.8 billion.  Moreover, among the EAEU countries, only Russia recorded a decline in  trade, while most EU countries chose to increase their  volumes-including Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Belgium, Poland,  Spain, Austria, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Slovakia,  Hungary, and Portugal-many of them significantly.

As a result of problems arising in certain export markets, the risk of a decline in income in the Armenian economy has increased, as well as the formation of an excess supply of certain goods, which has a predominantly  deflationary impact, as noted in the Central Bank of Armenia's  justification for its decision to maintain the refinancing rate at  6.5% this time.

ArmInfo. Mikolai Vinitsky, a dual Belarusian-Russian investor, has announced that, on  27 July 2026, he served a Notice of Intent to Submit Claims to  Arbitration on the Republic of Armenia, formally notifying the  Government of Armenia of an investment dispute arising under three  investment protection treaties.  The investor's statement was  published by Iveta Tonoyan, press secretary of Gagik Tsarukyan's  Prosperous Armenia Party, on  her Facebook page.

ArmInfo.  AMD 650 million will be allocated to complete the construction project of the Vedi  reservoir in Armenia.  The decision was approved at a meeting of the  RA government on July 30.

ArmInfo.  On July 23, 2026, under the supervision of the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the  Bryansk, Smolensk, and Kaluga Regions, a large shipment of fresh-cut  roses originating from Armenia was destroyed in the Smolensk Region.  This measure was taken due to serious violations of regulations for  importing quarantine products into Russia.
