ArmInfo. By the winter of this year, it is planned to complete the cable laying work, carry out the improvement of the Noravan substation, and by 2025 the technical equipment will be fully provided. This was announced during the working visit of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan, accompanied by the Ambassador of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Mehdi Sokhbani, Governor of the Syunik region Robert Ghukasyan, Director of High-Voltage Electric Networks CJSC David Mirzoyan, Mayor of the Sisian community Armen Hakobjanyan and other officials to the Noravan substation.

ArmInfo. On September 27, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan received representatives of the World Bank Office in Armenia. Tafadzva Dube, WB Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist, joined the meeting online.  As reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy, during the meeting, the Local Economy and Infrastructure Development Program (LEIDP) and Tourism and Regional Infrastructure Improvement Program (TRIP) were discussed. These programs aim to improve infrastructure services and develop capacity in various regions of Armenia.

ArmInfo. On September 30, a conference "10 years of the EAEU" will be held in Yerevan as part  of the Eurasian Economic Forum, reads a statement by the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Armenia's nominal GDP in 2025 is projected to reach AMD 11 trillion 50 billion  (about $28.5 billion), compared to the expected AMD 10 trillion 110 billion  by the end of this year. The real GDP growth is forecasted to be  5.6%, falling short of the minimum 7% set by the Cabinet's program of  activities for 2021-2026. This is stated in the draft state budget  for next year, which was approved by the government on September  26th.

In New York, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took part in an open discussion on "The Results of Democracy" organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). ArmInfo.Minimum requirements for insuraring passengers, flight crew and service personnel will be established for all air carriers and aircraft operators in Armenia.  

ArmInfo. In 2024-2026, the American company Contour Global Hydro Cascade will invest AMD 5.527  bln in the modernization of the Vorotan HPP cascade in Armenia. The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) approved the company's investment program at a meeting on September 25th.

ArmInfo.Armenia can integrate into any international scheme that aligns with its interests. As for BRICS, I cannot say what decision will be made.

ArmInfo.Yerevan should consider the possibility of purchasing gas from Baku, without excluding alternative supply routes. Babken Tunyan, Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Issues and MP of the ruling Civil Contract faction, made this statement in an interview with journalists on September 25, commenting on Yerevan's readiness to buy gas from Baku and the potential risk of becoming dependent on  unfriendly Azerbaijan.

ArmInfo. This year, 35 Armenian startups from the Diaspora are participating in the Neruzh5.0 program. This was announced by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan during the opening ceremony  of the program.

ArmInfo. In July 2024, the number of registered jobs in Armenia amounted to more than 759  thousand. Compared to July 2021, the figure has increased by about 107 thousand or 16%.
