By the end of 2018, Armenia's public debt amounted to $ 6,922.9 million, an increase of $ 148.3 million over the year instead of the planned $ 372 million.   Meanwhile, from 2008 to 2013, Armenia steadily increased its public  debt by an average of about $ 500 million, and from 2015 to 2017 - by  780 million.

ArmInfo. Armenia's gross international reserves for 2018 amounted to $ 2.249 billion,  according to the data of the Central Bank of Armenia. The vast  majority of these reserves-$ 2.243 billion is accounted for external  assets in hard currency, and the share of SDR in the IMF was $ 6  million. According to the regulator's report, within the year the  value of gross international reserves decreased by 2.8%; external  assets decreased in the same amount, while the share of SDR fell by  17.5%.

ArmInfo.According to IMF expectations, GDP growth in Armenia in 2018 will be lower than the forecasted 6%. Yulia Ustyugova, Permanent Representative of the IMF  in Armenia, expressed this opinion in an interview with ArmInfo  correspondent, noting that if the forecast had been made today, the  International Monetary Fund would certainly have indicated a lower  threshold for GDP growth in Armenia.

ArmInfo.The external debt of Armenia ($ 5.4 billion by October 1, 2018) is dominated by debt under multi-loan programs - 65.9% or $ 3.6 billion, followed by debt under bilateral credit programs - 17.8% or $ 964.6 million and investments  by non-residents in Armenian Eurobonds - 15, 6% or $ 844.6 million.  The data of the National Statistical Service of the RA testify this.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia has adjusted the range of the forecast for GDP growth for 2018 from the previous 5.6-6.9% to the current 4.6-5.1%. The Central  Bank also revised down the expected growth threshold in the medium  term: for 2019 - 4.4-5.5% and for 2020 - 3.9-5.4% (versus previously  predicted 4.6-6.4% and 4 , 1-6.2%, respectively).
