ArmInfo.The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) today determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of aluminum foil from Armenia, Brazil, Oman, Russia, and Turkey that the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) has determined are sold in the United States at less than fair value and subsidized by the governments of Oman and Turkey, the official website of the Commission reports. "As a result of the Commission's affirmative determinations, Commerce will issue countervailing duty orders on imports of this product from Oman and Turkey and antidumping duty orders on imports of this product from Armenia, Brazil, Oman, Russia, and Turkey." |

ArmInfo.Private equity fund Amber Capital Armenia, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU), has acquired Solis, an Armenian solar plant operator, to build and operate a 4 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in Aragatsotn, western Armenia. The parties to the transaction did not disclose the amount of the transaction and the volume of investments in the project. Nevertheless, according to experts, the total volume of investments may amount to about 2 - 2.5 million US dollars. |
