ArmInfo. Ameriabank is recognized as the owner of the Asian Trade Bank Development Finance Award (TFP ADB) in the "Leading Partner Bank in Armenia 2018" nomination. As Ameriabank's press service told ArmInfo, at the award ceremony held on September 4 in Singapore, the head of trade finance department of the corporate department Suren Kocharyan and chief specialist Tatev Hakobyan participated from Ameriabank.

ArmInfo. At the Getamech  poultry farm, with the financing of Armswissbank within the renewable  energy program in cooperation with the energy company SHTIGEN, a  solar (photovoltaic) power plant with a nominal capacity of 237.6 kW  is installed. As stressed in the press service of the Bank, today it  is the largest roof solar power plant in Armenia.

Numerous small hydroelectric power plants of Armenia cause serious damage to the country's ecology, as a result of which the situation with fish  stocks in rivers has become simply catastrophic. This was announced  by the Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan at the meeting of  the government on August 23, presenting the draft amendments to the  RA Water Code.

ArmInfo.Despite the fact that for several years the share of SMEs in the structure of Armenia's GDP has remained unchanged totaling about 28%, nevertheless, a positive  trend is being observed, which is registered from year to year in  terms of growth of additional value created by SMEs. ArmInfo. The introduction of new small hydro power plants in operation will negatively affect the water resources of Armenia. On March 22, at a press conference in Yerevan, an environmentalist, a specialist in water resources, Ph.D. Knarik Hovhannisyan.

ArmInfo. "Satenkar" LLC, which represents the trademark MELANTE, invests 190 million drams in production. The Armenian government plans to approve the company's application on exemption from the import customs duty for the import of technological equipment, their components, raw materials and materials at a meeting on March 6.

ArmInfo. Armenia has defined the  criteria for assessing the environmental impact in the construction  and operation of small hydroelectric power plants. The relevant  resolution was approved at a government meeting on March 1. 

ArmInfo. An industrial  ecological park may appear in the Tavush region of Armenia. The  development of the project is under implementation and will be  submitted to the Government of the Republic for consideration.  ArmInfo correspondent, Taron Sahakyan, an expert of the Public  Council under the Armenian President, former deputy of the National  Assembly of Armenia, told ArmInfo.

ArmInfo. The head of the State  Food Security Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia,  Ishkhan Karapetyan, considers it unreasonable to sell GMO products on  the territory of the republic. "I, as a citizen, do not want to eat  food that contains GMOs," he told journalists on November 9 after a  government meeting.

ArmInfo. We met  Vitaliy Nesis, Chief Executive Officer of Polymetal, one of the leading precious metals mining companies in the post-Soviet space, for an interview in the resort town of Jermuk, where the 2nd stage of the Junior Grand Prix tournament of the European Chess Championship union was held during the period of  October 3 - October 16, under the sponsorship of the company.  The company of Polymetal was founded in 1998 and during  19 years has taken a sustainable   position in the geological exploration, design, construction and commissioning of mining enterprises, carrying out the full range of work on the development of ore deposits - from exploration to operation. In 2015, Polymetal acquired its first asset in Armenia - Lichkvaz CJSC,  with the right of subsoil use in respect  to the gold deposit of Lichkvaz-Tey. In April 2016, the company also acquired   Kapan Mining and Processing Plant from  Canadians,  which is operated for  processing  the Shahumyan  deposit ore. Only this year, the volume of investments of  Polymetal made in the modernization and expansion of production will form  $ 15 million. 

ArmInfo. In Armenia, there is a need to release imported electric vehicles from all types of taxes. Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan delivered a corresponding initiative at a government meeting on October 12.

ArmInfo. In the first half of 2017, the Development Fund of Armenia managed to implement the programs envisaged for the whole year. The Executive Director of the Fund Armen Avagyan told Karen Karapetyan, the RA Prime Minister, about this.

ArmInfo. Nowadays there are about 80mln bee families in "hives" in the world. In Armenia, according to information presented to ArmInfo by Agriculture Ministry, the number of hives counts to 237 230, which average productiveness gives 12-15kg honey. Armenia produces qualified polypheric honey, which works thanks to land shaft-climatic features of the region, particularly for the abundance of diverse vegetation in mountain locations. However, the main issue of world's honey craft remains the quality of honey- percent of false honey in the world is 50, when in Armenia for the recent years, according to Agriculture Ministry information, there were not registered any problems related to honey quality, and there is no request on fake exposure.

ArmInfo. Within the partnership with National Mortgage Company, Converse  Bank launched the 4th stage of KfW funded mortgage project on effective housing construction support in Armenia. According to the information shared with  ArmInfo by the press office of the Bank, within the fourth stage of the project two aspects will be launched: Energy Efficient Mortgage Loans and Regional Mortgage  Loans. At that, the second dimension does not comprise any compulsory requirements of energy efficiency securing.
