ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry of Finance admits the possibility of lifting restrictions on increasing the external debt. Vardan Aramyan, the head of the department, responded to ArmInfo's question about this.

ArmInfo. By the end of 2017, the state debt of Armenia will approach the $ 6.7 billion mark. Thus, over the year Armenia will increase the debt burden by $ 800 million, Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan told ArmInfo, during a seminar on "Management of public debt" on October 22 in the Armenian Hanqavan.

ArmInfo. Armenian Government  does not plan to increase salaries and pensions in 2018. Instead, it  is planned to increase the salary fund of the Office of Management,  in particular, employees of the tax and customs system.

ArmInfo. Capital expenditures of  the state budget of Armenia in 2018 are planned to increase by 73.8  billion drams, which will be directed to road construction,  irrigation system and energy. "No sensible investor will invest money  in the Armenian economy if we do not have normal roads," Armenian  Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan told ArmInfo reporter on October  22 during a seminar on "The State Budget for 2018" organized with the  assistance of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).  Note that in 2018 the investment-to-GDP ratio promises to just return  to the indicators of 2016 - 18.4% of GDP, instead of 18.2% expected  by the end of this year.

ArmInfo. GDP per capita in  Armenia by the end of 2018 from the expected current year's $ 3,699  will reach $ 3,985, answering the question of ArmInfo, Deputy Finance  Minister of Armenia Armen Hayrapetyan said on October 22 during a  seminar organized with the assistance of the German Society for  International Cooperation (GIZ).

As Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan stated at the September 5 sitting of the Armenian government, on September 1 this year, In the presidential administration, 54 staff units were reduced. By the decree of the Cabinet, the savings for the next 3 months in the amount of 29.1 million drams (about $ 60,000) will be transferred to the reserve fund of the Government.

ArmInfo. For 9 months of 2017,  the State Revenue Committee (ARC) of Armenia provided tax revenues of  860.5 billion drams, including VAT refunds. On the tax side, growth  was 6.7%, customs - 18.3%. This was stated to journalists by the head  of the department Vardan Harutyunyan on October 4, summing up the  results of the 9-month activity.

ArmInfo. In order to fulfill  the budget of 2017, the Armenian government until the end of the  year, for the upcoming 4 months should collect 424 billion AMD in the  line of taxes, while statistics show that on average over the past  months of this year, about 90 billion AMD were collected monthly.  Vice-speaker from the bloc, Mikael Melkumian, announced  this from the rostrum of the Armenian parliament.

ArmInfo. The government of  Armenia in 2018 does not plan to revise the budget expenditures for  social purposes. The Minister of Finance of Armenia Vardan Aramyan  announced this on September 28 after the meeting of the government,  during which the project "State Budget-2018" was approved.

The GDP growth by the end of the year, as Aramyan noted, promises to be higher than planned in the Budget-2017 indicator of 3.2%, as evidenced by high economic activity indicators for the first 8 months of this year. - in the range of 5-5.5%. Thus, as the head of the Ministry of Finance stated, Armenia will close 2017 with GDP growth in the range of 4-4.8%. "Taking into account the positive trends and based on the forecasts of the Central Bank of Armenia, the Ministry of Finance raised forecasts for economic growth up to 4.3% in 2017," Vardan Aramyan said.

ArmInfo. The third tranche of Eurobonds will be implemented by the end of 2019-2020. The volume of the issue will be similar to the amount that the government will send to servicing the state debt on Eurobonds - about $ 500 million, Armenian Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan told a press conference on Sept. 25, ArmInfo correspondent said.

Armenian Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan denies media's information that when discussing the budget for 2018, all ministries were internally ordered to cut expenses by about 7% so that available funds could be used to service the country's public debt in the future. The share of truth in all this, as Finance Minister of Armenia Vardan Aramyan told ArmInfo correspondent on Sept. 25, is to show some restraint in the formation of current expenses.
