ArmInfo. The new government of Armenia in its 2016-2018 program pays special attention to stimulating and protection of investments for ensuring sustainable economic growth.  The program approved by the government on October 18 envisages optimization of state bodies or structures with state participation and increasing their efficiency. It is planned to create investment fund in 2017 aimed at financial supporting of investment programs, the fund will ensure partnership between the state and private sector. Besides, the program envisages measures taking of which will upgrade Armenia's positions at least by 4 points in Global Competitiveness Index of World Economic Forum and in Doing Business ranking of the World Bank.

ArmInfo. French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier and Armenia's Minister of Agriculture Ignatiy Arakelyan held a meeting on October 17. During the meeting the Ambassador expressed readiness to deepen bilateral relations between Armenia and France in the field of agriculture.

ArmInfo. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Jambulat Khatuov held a meeting with Minister of Agriculture Ignaty Arakelyan.  According to the website of the Russian Agriculture Ministry, Jambulat Khatuov congratulated the Armenian minister on appointment wishing him fruitful activity in the development of the country's agricultural and industrial sectors.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia has upgraded its economic growth forecast for Armenia from the previous 2.8-3.6% to 3.2-3.9%, according to the CBA's monetary policy program for Q4 2015. The CBA upgraded the forecast from 1.6-2.6% to 2.8-3.6% for Q3, from 0.4-2% to 1.6-2.6% for Q2, and for Q1 2015 it downgraded the forecast from 3.2-3.5% in 2014.

Armenia has a chance to increase the exports of agricultural products related to the restrictions on the supply of Turkish products imposed by Russia, Minister of Agriculture of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan said during a meeting with the Director of the "Spayka" freight forwarding company David Ghazaryan, the press-service of the Ministry reports.

ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) has funded the construction of the "Klubnichnaya Polyana" LLC energy efficient greenhouse facility. The facility occupies an area of 3 hectares in Nor Geghi village (Kotayk province of Armenia). The press office of the Bank has told ArmInfo that the greenhouse will grow strawberries by means of up-to-date technologies that secure high yield and high quality of the product.

Spayka LLC, the largest freight forwarding company in Armenia, which is also engaged in procurement and production of tinned agricultural products, is going to triple the export of agricultural products to 32 thsd tons by the end of 2015, Karen Baghdasaryan, Head of the Project Management Division at Spayka LLC, told journalists on November 7.
