Armenia reduced exports of copper ore concentrate, zinc and  molybdenum in 2021

ArmInfo. In 2021, Armenia reduced the volume of exports of copper ore by 15.7% - to 429.5 thousand tons (against a decline in 2020 by 9.3%). However, in value  terms, the export of copper ore increased by 27.3%, amounting to  $769.2 million. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Customs  Service.

ArmInfo. Electricity generation in Armenia in January- December 2021 amounted to 7,674.9 million kWh, decreasing by 0.6% over the year (against an increase of  1.2% a year earlier). However, in December alone,  electricity  generation increased by 20.6% - up to 826.5 million kWh.  According  to the RA Statistical Committee, in January-December 2021, TPPs  increased electricity generation by 6.9% - up to 3,383.7 million kWh,  and HPPs - by 23.8%, up to 2,201.7 million kWh.

ArmInfo. Analysts of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) presented the first in this year macroeconomic review. Thus, according to the EDB, economic activity  in Armenia increased by 5.2% y-o-y in January-November. In November,  growth accelerated to 13.2% y-o-y (3.8% in October). This was  facilitated by increased dynamics in the services and industry  sectors, maintaining a positive trajectory in construction and trade.
