ArmInfo. Economic activity in  Armenia in January-July 2021, increased by 5.2% per annum (against a  5.7% decline a year earlier), accompanied by an accelerated growth in  exports and imports. In July of this year, by July 2020, economic  activity increased by 5.8% (against a decline of 10.2% a year  earlier), while in July 2021 alone it slowed down growth to 7.4% from  June 12%, which was also observed in July 2020 - to 9.4% from 14.8%  in June.

ArmInfo.In the premium portfolios of Armenian insurers in the first half of 2021, the  corporate component continues to prevail over the retail one - 57%  (15.1 billion drams) and 43% (11.4 billion drams), almost repeating  the indicators of a year ago - 56.2% and 43.8% respectively.  According to the Financial Rating of Insurance Companies of Armenia,  prepared by ArmInfo IC, the annual dynamics of the absolute values of  both indicators changed from the 7.4-8.5% decline by 10.9-7.6%  growth.

ArmInfo. The attempt of the Armenian insurance sector to get out of the loss for profit in Q2 2021 was crowned with success, but the received amount of 94 million drams ($ 189 thousand) was insufficient to zero out the six-month loss. According to the Financial Rating of insurance companies in Armenia, prepared by ArmInfo IC, the total loss of 6 insurance companies for H1 2021 was amounted to 130.6 million drams (over $ 263.4 thousand), with a 2-fold y-o-y drawdown (from plus to minus level), with a quarterly 2.5-fold growth (reaching the plus level).

ArmInfo.The high growth of the mortgage portfolio by June 2021 by 37.2% per annum to 544.2 billion drams ($ 1.05 billion) supported the loan portfolio of the Armenian  banking system in 6.4% growth, exceeding the absolute value of 3.6  trillion drams ($ 6.9 billion). The growth of mortgages increased its  share in the total loan portfolio of banks from 11.7% last year to  the current 15.1%. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Central  Bank.

Armenia doubled the export of agricultural products

ArmInfo. Armenia has already managed to export 105 thousand tons of agricultural products, which is 2 times more than a year ago. Deputy Minister of Economy Arman  Khojoyan announced this. In particular, he noted that out of the  total volume of exported agricultural products, 44 thousand tons are  fruits and berries, and 61 thousand tons are vegetables.
