ArmInfo. Economic activity in  Armenia in January-July 2021, increased by 5.2% per annum (against a  5.7% decline a year earlier), accompanied by an accelerated growth in  exports and imports. In July of this year, by July 2020, economic  activity increased by 5.8% (against a decline of 10.2% a year  earlier), while in July 2021 alone it slowed down growth to 7.4% from  June 12%, which was also observed in July 2020 - to 9.4% from 14.8%  in June.

At the same time, according to the RA  Real Estate Cadastre State Committee, the number of real estate  purchase and sale transactions in the regions increased by 24.2% per  annum to 17,387, and rent - by 6.6% to 2,824.

In y-o-y  terms regional transactions for the purchase and sale of real estate  increased by 13.1%, and in June alone increased by 7.8%.

ArmInfo.The high growth of the mortgage portfolio by June 2021 by 37.2% per annum to 544.2 billion drams ($ 1.05 billion) supported the loan portfolio of the Armenian  banking system in 6.4% growth, exceeding the absolute value of 3.6  trillion drams ($ 6.9 billion). The growth of mortgages increased its  share in the total loan portfolio of banks from 11.7% last year to  the current 15.1%. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Central  Bank.

In March, EDB analysts projected a strong recovery in the Bank's member states, but the reality of the first half of the year exceeded expectations.
