Armenia's Financial Ombudswoman: Financial competence of Armenian population is low
ArmInfo. The financial competence of the Armenian population is low, Armenia's Financial Ombudswoman Piruz Sargsyan said during the celebrations of the 3rd birthday of her office on Tuesday.
She said that the office receives lots of groundless complaints, which prove that people are unaware of their rights and duties.
"We regularly organize events to enhance the financial competence of our people. Particularly, we have conducted a Best Financial Organization competition, won by ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, HSBC Bank Armenia, Cascade Insurance and Rosgossstrakh Armenia, and a contest for the best student's essay and school composition on financial services," Sargsyan said.
She said that the confidence in her office is growing. "Most of our people know that we exist and many of them trust us and will appeal to us if necessary," Sargsyan said.
