ArmInfo. The Institute of Economics and Business at Russian- Armenian (Slavonic) University (RAU) launches a Master's Program in insurance. Prime Insurance Brokers Ltd, RAU and Armenia's insurance companies have jointly developed the Master's Program.
A pilot group was selected for participating in 2015 Master's Program, consisting of 5 employees from INGO Armenia, Rosgosstrakh Armenia and Nairi Insurance companies. During the selection process the level of the applicants' professional knowledge, their practical skills and ambition for improvement of their professional qualification were taken into account. The employers themselves will compensate for the tuition fees of their employees. Bachelor's degree graduates from any HEI's with any specialization are also eligible for applying for the program at their own expense. Among the program's tutors are leading specialists of the Armenia's insurance market, who have a reputation of insurance organization and have a practical experience in insurance field, as well as teaching and scientific-research experience. Particularly, the specialists from the insurance companies, from the Central Bank of Armenia and Prime Insurance Brokers have been invited to teach the professional subjects.
Director of Institute of Economics and Business at the RAU, Dr. (Economics), Professor Edward Sandoyan, particularly mentioned that this Master's Program is an innovation in the Armenia's insurance market and its initiators hold personal responsibility for the program's success. "I call on students to show responsible and serious attitude to learning process and hope for the insurance sector's assistance, in order to make the Program not just a formal one but successful and long-term", Sandoyan mentioned.
