ArmInfo. Armenia is the only country which is in the center of Lithuanian business. This was stated by Alexander Izgorodin, the representative of Lithuanian Enterpreneurs Confederation and Innovations Center in his presentation regarding global trade tendencies on the margins of Competitiveness Forum.
"According to his words quoted by DFA, Lithuanian entrepreneurs consider Armenia as the best platform to exit EEU markets. " It is a new corridor for Baltian Countries investments in Armenia and for trade, because Armenia could become a bridge between CIS countries markets and markets of 6 Arabian countries," he mentioned. Despite the long geographic distance, the expert thinks that Armenia and Lithuania have many common things: small volumes of economy, accentuated human capital, lack of natural resources and geographic location of countries.
According to Rena Saribekyan, the representative of DFA in Baltic countries, starting with 2014 the trade- economic relations between Armenia and Lithuania are sustainably developing. "Today the textile industry of Lithuania needs an outsourcing service and there is an opinion existing that Armenia could conform appropriate requirements in the sector mentioned," she mentioned.
