AMD continues to weaken against USD

ArmInfo. The currency interbank of Armenia reduced the volume by 40% from June 5 to 9, after growing by 15% a week earlier. At the same time, the USD market and RUR transactions declined in the intra-bank foreign exchange market, as a result of which the EUR transactions demonstrated mixed dynamics with the activation of sales. In these conditions, the exchange currency market continues to empty for the second week.

As a result, in the reporting week, the AMD against the USD continued to weaken slowly - from 482 to 482.5 AMD/USD1, withholding against the EUR at 541 AMD/EUR1, while strengthening to the RUR - from 8.6 to 8.5 AMD/RUR1. A year earlier, on June 9, 2016, the exchange rate of the AMD to the USD was 479 AMD/USD1, to the EUR -547 AMD/EUR1, and to the RUR - 7,5 AMD/RUR1, which, in comparison with the current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the AMD to the USD and RUR, with strengthening to the EUR.
