ArmInfo. Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Ashot Manukyan received on July 13 Deputy Minister of Energy of Iran Alireza Daemi.
According to the Ministry's press service message, during the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector were discussed. The sides discussed both current and prospective projects. Noting the important role of intergovernmental commission in the development of economic ties between Armenia and Iran, Ashot Manukyan expressed the conviction that these ties will continue to develop in the future. Speaking about the implemented joint programs, the sides were unanimous in the opinion that they were being successfully implemented. Expressing gratitude for the reception, Alireza Daemi informed Armenian Minister about the progress of the work of Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission and the effective discussions held.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the process of implementing Iran-Armenia power transmission line project, the gas-for-electricity program, and the Meghri NPP construction project.
