USAID supports Armenia`s energy sector

ArmInfo. USAID supports Armenia's energy sector as a vehicle for investment and economic growth, USAID Armenia reports on its Facebook account.

The inaugural Energy Transition and Entrepreneurship Summit - part of the Seaside Startup Summit on the shores of Lake Sevan - is a platform for Armenia's entrepreneurship community to raise awareness and collaborate on innovation and investment in clean energy.

At the summit opening, USAID Energy Secure Armenia's Chief of Party, Abgar Budaghyan, emphasized the importance of energy independence and presented how clean energy and the liberalized electricity market contribute to it and provide investment opportunities.

USAID is a longstanding partner of Armenia's energy sector, including supporting the historic liberalization of the country's electricity market in 2022, which introduced opportunities for digitalization, entrepreneurship, and private sector investment for greater renewable energy use and cross-border electricity trade.
